So I am done with school officially. I have the piece of paper and the ceremony was fun so there it is! I've had some time to relax, just being doing summertime activites like riding bikes and lazing about by ponds and parks. I just finished an awesome gig with my band Lake Street Dive (myspace.com/lakestreetdive) at the Iowa City Arts Fest and am off to L.A. to continue more work on my solo record. Hopefully (fingers crossed!!) we will finish it all up this week and make plans for getting it out there. I also have some sweet gigs coming in New York and Indiana that you can check out on my myspace page - myspace.com/rachaelclaireprice.
It is strange to be out of school and have so much free time but things are starting to pick up and I can start living the life of a full-time musician. How glamorous. All my wonderful musician friends are doing great things too and I feel the need to plug their musical activities. My good friends in the band Cuddle Magic just finished a recording and you can hear some tracks on myspace.com/cuddlemagic- it's a must-listen-to. Meanwhile I'm obsessed with the new Fiest record and can't wait to get out on the road ad play glorious music. More to come when more happens. Holla!

Graduation and other excitements!
So I have one more ridiculous week and then classes and school is OVER! My recital is next week, May 3rd, which is extremely nervewracking and I just have to convince myself that it doesn't need to be perfect. Just good and fun and energetic.
Then I graduate which is (blush) so amazing.
Other exciting things- I recently just opened up for Nancy Wilson at the South Orange Performing Arts Center and she is absolutely breathtaking. Inspiring, still singing her heart out, and so gracious. She was so nice to me and said so many beautiful things.
That's all for now, too stressed to be blogging but I promise much more after my recital and a few other gigs. Everyone stay dry and warm and lovely.

Welcome #2...
Well - as technology would have it, I needed to recreate my blogger account. My apologies to those who have posted and I have not responded to yet. I will soon. I placed those postings under a temporary set-up, so they may not have the original links or date time tags associated with it. I am sure I will get this to work, one day. :)
My original Welcome message follows:
I've started a new Journal/Blog so I can keep you informed of my travel, experiences and thoughts. I hope you can come and visit often, add some of your own comments, say "hi", tell me who you are, among other things.
There may be very little in there to start, as this is all new to me, so be patient with my postings. I do travel quite a bit to different cities, states and countries for performances.
