Sorry it's been so long ago- you know the drill. I'm posting to start getting the word out. After a very prolonged time I am happy and excited to say that I will have a new record coming out in a month. I have been aching to get a recording out for ages now and with being a non-student and a free woman I'd say it's about time. The record will feature what maybe some of you have seen in my live show. It's with my dearest band- Erik, Dave, and Warren. We've been playing together for 3 and 1/2 years now and are happy to have a recording that represents our time playing together.
There is no title yet but soon enough.
I'll try to post some preliminary tracks soon, if possible, but in any case keep a look out for the record at the end of February.
In other scenes of life, I just came back from a couple of lovely gigs. Friday night I was in Birmingham, AL to a sold out show of a warm and lively audience. Thanks to all who came out to support- I love the warm hosptitality of the south, it is like none other.
And then the next night in Maysville, KT. What a special town. If you are ever in the area of northern Kentucky I recommend stopping there to experience a little charm. Right on the Ohio River, this little nook of city has managed to maintain it's historical downtown and a beautifully renovated Opera House (from the 1890's!) which myself and the band had the pleasure to perform in. Thanks to the wonderful crowd for coming- you all were such a fun bunch and I hope we get to come back sometime and do it again. This week I will heading to Portland, OR (!!!) to sing some concerts with the Symphony there. As well as being elated to perform there, I am endlessly excited to go to this city. I have heard so many awesome things Portland and while I have never been there, I know it is home to my favorite coffee, stumptown! I will be one happy girl.
Thanks to all who have kept in touch and given their support in kind messages.Until next time......!!!

Rachel-
Got together with Ginny, Faezeh and Lizzy (All from Voices of Baha) this weekend. Ginny forwarded me your site and I am so excited for you! Seeing your beautiful face brings me back to days on tour in Europe (remember the bunny?!) I'll be keeping an eye out for tour dates near DC or Baltimore (I'm living on the Chesapeake in Maryland these days.) I'm on blogger too at http://stephaniescircus.blogspot.com. Come see me some time!
Loving you!
Stephanie
Some friends took us to the concert in Portland. Your appearance was absolutely the highlight of the concert. Your voice is like chocolate! Thank you for visiting Oregon. I hope you had a fabulous time! I am looking forward to your new CD.
love, deBBie
Hi Rachael -
We enjoyed your show at The Folly Theater in Kansas City Friday nite. You are beautiful with a wonderful voice and talent. You have been added to my list of favorite girl singers, along with Ella, Karrin Allison, and Diana Krall. It was thrilling to hear your "Mood Indigo" performance. Your future is in your hands and I would love to see you perform again. How may I best keep track of your record release date ?
Best Wishes: Ron
Wow, sounds great! Enjoy the road!
